But, just to throw you off, I will, on occasion, post some tidbits here...

I am in full-blown love with Grandaddy... I've always loved their music but in the past few weeks it's built to a level unknown since the days of driving to Media Play at 12am to get the newest Pearl Jam album. Thier music is playing every waking hour, (and then some - I've had several Grandaddy dreams lately) I've been digging up live shows to listen to, and I'm even playing guitar for the first time in forever. The problem is, they broke up early last year. I have hopes of new music from the ashes - but it's going to be a while.

It's not a very photogenic household... that pile of stuff Herbert is sitting on is basically the same as the rest of the house right now. I don't have time to clean - finals week is killing me! Still, there's always time for random pictures! This as close as I could get to a picture of everyone: that's Elliot's tail, my foot, and Herbert's look of mingled horror and disgust is being directed towards Teen who is cavorting off-camera.

Thief!!!!

My poor Charlie-Brown's-Christmas looking lemon tree, which has enough of a complex sitting next to the neighbor's fat and glossy lime tree, has been vandalized. Somebody stole one of my beautiful lemons last night. This wouldn't be quite as much of a big deal if I hadn't only had two to begin with! Bitches.

I am working my way through season 2 of House this weekend. I keep waiting for Hugh Laurie to do something funny - everytime he goes googly-eyed I get all giggly. Robert Sean Leonard is a welcome bonus... Swing heil Peter! Swing heil!!!!! Maybe when I'm done with this I'll pull out Dead Poets Society just to top everything off. Between epispodes, I've been cooking. I got a new cookbook by Rick Bayless as an early christmas present and every recipe in there looks good... right now I'm making a variation on the slow-cooked chicken with tomatillos, potatoes, and jalapenos, all of which I picked up for super-cheap at the market this weekend. I filled up my whole backpack with produce! Unfortunately, I didn't bother to get any lemons...

I don't always see my mother in myself, but this picture reminds me of her. I wish I was more like her in a lot of ways... it's nice to be able to see the similarities sometimes.

Okay SERIOUSLY!!!! It's fucking November 30th and I have to turn my air conditioner on????!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!? I am sitting here in a tank top and shorts next to a christmas wreath, sweating. I am so close to snapping.

I have to turn in a form tomorrow that says how I'd like my name to appear on the diploma I'm getting this may. I'm graduating. This. May. Where the hell did that come from? How the hell is it going to happen considering I don't even have a formal experiment design for my thesis? I'm going to be a very busy bee this winter... not that this is a winter in anything other than name. Fucking 84 degrees. GAH!!!!
